Watling Hope Grease Shield® puts an end to recurring drain problem for major supermarket group
26 Apr 2011
A major supermarket group was suffering with repeat drain blockages within the deli-area of one their stores in the North of England. The blockages were occurring on a monthly basis causing major cost and inconvenience. The store had tried biological drain treatment but had discontinued its use, the supermarket owners began to search for a solution.
In October 2010 Watling Hope supplied and installed a Grease Shield®GS1850 automatic grease separator on a trial basis into the superstore. The system was fitted to the wash-up sink where all the pans and utensils from the deli are cleaned. Watling Hope’s engineers provided training to the supermarket’s in-store technicians who were to carry out daily emptying of the recovered food and grease waste.
Six month’s after the trial began the super-store still had not recorded a drain blockage.
