Watling Hope installed two Grease Shield® systems in July at the Hampshire Hog PH as part of a major refurbishment by Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC.
The systems were fitted on a four-month trial basis to prevent fat, oil and grease entering the new FLYGT sewage pumping station.
One Grease Shield GS1850 system was fitted on the wash-up line and a second Grease Shield GS1000 was installed on a line discharging from the combination oven.
The evaluation period ran until mid November 2009 and at the end of the trial a report was compiled. The report showed that during the trial period the site did not experience any drain blockages, there were also no reported problems with the pumping station.
At the end of the trial period the sewage pump station was checked and photographed and showed no signs of fat, oil and grease build-up on the chamber walls, floats or pumps.
As a result of the successful trial Fuller, Smith & Turner have chosen to keep the equipment.
